ADVENTURE TWELVE: Slope Point & Curio Bay

Curio Bay has many reasons to visit. Along with an abundance of wildlife and beautiful scenery, it is also home to a 170 million year old petrified forest. Fossilised tree trunks and stumps are dotted along a shelf of rock that juts out into the ocean and is only accessible at low tide. You may  also be lucky enough to see yellow eyed penguins coming in to nest in the flaxes here at night. We saw one, but it was too dark for us to get a photo.
